TEDDY WILSON HEADS THE FIELD

Motorsports raising star Teddy Wilson took his second round win of the 2014 LGM series at sunny Kimbolton. Totally unbeaten all day, Wilson did a rare hat trick in the heats, securing him the pole for the final. At the start Wilson took the lead and held on to it for 3 laps, but the pressure of Dexter Patterson, Tom Wood & Fin Kinneally was too great and they slipped through. In the front bunch Albert Carter, Lewis Thompson, Kiern Jewiss & Zach Robertson were all jockeying for position. By half way Wood moved past Patterson who fell away slightly, so too Kenneally, Jewiss was doing his usual passing but finding it hard to make head way. Wilson briefly re took the lead, but Wood soon back in front.

Thompson was making ground and clawed his way up to 4th behind Carter. On to the last lap it was still anybody’s race, Wilson lead over the line into the first corner, backing them all up, before shooting out of the bend. Jewiss tried a move around the outside which didn’t pay off, but this left Wilson 3 to 4 kart length’s clear. At the line Wilson took his second win followed by Wood, Thompson had a strong 3rd getting the better of Carter in 4th, Patterson, Robertson, Kinneally 5th, 6th, 7th respectively. In the Privateers cup, Clayton Ravenscroft finish 13th overall from a superb 6th on the grid after the heats, Ben Wooldridge was 2nd but not by his usual standards, finishing 27th overall, Joe Willoughby 3rd. This win plus the pole puts Wilson at the top of the leader board once more, but with only 2 points in it, its still all to play for.
